  • No separate app or account: everything is on the room card and the tracking board
  • Testing and team training included; one point of contact if anything goes wrong
Specifications
  • 24 GHz mmWave human-presence sensor
  • Connects over Wi-Fi; no hub needed
  • Powered by 5 V over USB-C
  • About 7 × 7 × 1.8 cm, matte white

Why not an off-the-shelf sensor?

On its own, the box only detects motion. The value comes from combining that with bookings and housekeeping tasks.

An off-the-shelf sensor
  • Only tells its own phone app "motion detected"
  • Doesn't know which room is booked or who was assigned the cleaning
  • Installation, networking and pairing each device with the right room are up to you
  • If something goes wrong, you deal with the manufacturer
With HotelPilot
  • Ongoing presence in an unbooked room: unauthorized use alert
  • A room marked cleaned that nobody entered: ghost cleaning alert
  • No presence at all in a booked room: possible no-show
  • No motion for hours during a stay: guest missing for a long time
  • Unusually long continuous presence, and cleaning or extra activity while the guest is in
  • Alerts on the room card and the tracking board; installation, network and support from one place

No camera, no microphone. The dashboard only receives "motion / no motion" and when.

How it works

  1. 1
    Site survey

Room count, floor plan and the existing network are reviewed on site.

  2. 2
    Installation

Sensors are mounted in the rooms; cabling and network work is on us.

  3. 3
    Dashboard connection

Room status appears live on the room card in HotelPilot.

  4. 4
    Test & training

Verified together with the housekeeping lead and the front desk.

Examples

  • An alert if a room marked "cleaned" was not entered all day
  • Motion in a room shown as empty → suspected unregistered stay
  • Whether the room really emptied after check-out
  • Time housekeeping spent in the room — how long cleaning took

Frequently asked questions

No. The sensor only detects motion and presence — there is NO image, sound or identity recording. The only information in the dashboard is "motion / no motion in the room" and when.

An off-the-shelf sensor only tells its own phone app "motion detected"; it does not know which room is booked, who was assigned the cleaning, or whether check-out happened. What you pay for here is not the box: it is installation, networking, pairing every device with the right room and connecting it to HotelPilot. The result shows up in the dashboard as a meaningful alert, not a raw signal.

A one-time fee per room: sensor, installation, network setup, dashboard connection, testing and training included. Enter the number of rooms; the exact count and any floor or passage points are confirmed at the site survey.

Sensors connect to the property's network. If coverage is not enough, we add the network points needed during installation.

No — they are palm-sized units screwed to the ceiling or wall; they leave no trace when removed.
